8 Interrogative pronouns
quickinfo

Interrogative pronouns are used to ask questions. They can be found at the beginning of clauses, as in the following examples:

1
Wät is dät?
what is that
What is that?
2
Wäl sunt dät?
who are that
Who are they?

The question phrase is followed by the tensed verb in main clause. The basic interrogative pronouns are not marked for number, gender or case.
