The core of diminutive formation is in the realm of count nouns, but we also find some cardinal numerals as the base for the attachment of the diminitive suffix (-DIM). Most of the time, the derivations refer to a certain amount of money. Examples are tsien ten > tsientsje ten Euro note or tweintich twenty > tweintichje twenty Euro note. A twake two-DIM is a set of two eggs of the lapwing in one nest. All derivations have neuter gender.
