Noun as base
quickinfo

There are basically four suffixes that can be used to derive verbs from nouns. The odd one out is -jei, actually a suffixoid, a grammaticalization of the verb jeie to rush. Semantically, it is restricted to deriving verbs that denote a "wild" activity or event. An example is draak kite > draakjeie to fly a kite.

The other suffixes are semantically less salient; primarily, they have the function of marking the category change of noun to verb. In itself, the suffix -ear is the most productive one, although it is restricted to non-native bases, for example koade code > koadearje to (en)code. The suffixes -ig (ein end > einigje to end) and -k (fûst fist > fûstkje to shake hands) serve native bases, where the latter also has an allomorph, viz. -tsj.
