The relative R-pronoun must strand the preposition. It cannot be prefixed to the preposition in clause-initial position, as shown by the example below:

As a result, Frisian lacks the class of relative adverbials in which the R-pronoun is obligatorily prefixed to the preposition (which obligatorily pied-pipe the preposition). Such a class of adverbials exists in Dutch.
