Adverbs
quickinfo

Frisian adverbs are a poor category when it comes to inflection. We only find markings for expressing degree and emphasis; both can be considered instances of inherent inflection. The formation of degree forms - i.e. comparative and superlative - goes very much along the same lines as that of adjectives, and is also reminiscent of what we see in other Germanic languages. More particular is the phenomenon of emphatic markers, where a suffix -e may be added to adverbs intensifying adjectives or other adverbs, and also after a few deictic adverbs.
