Codas
quickinfo

Codas are optional syllable constituents in Frisian. If present, they can consist of a single consonant or a sequence of up to four consonants. Since the syllable nucleus and coda are a phonological unit, viz. the rhyme (see the syllable and its constituents), there are many collocational restrictions between nucleus and coda segments. This section gives an overview of the coda possibilities in Frisian.
