Adverb as base
quickinfo

Suffixation of adverbs in order to derive nouns is extremely rare. Only four suffixes are involved: the diminutive suffix -DIM, -ing, -te and -man, the last one a suffixoid, derived from the noun man man. In addition, the number of input words is highly restricted. It is striking that on the surface most bases seem to consist of adpositions. It seems appropriate, however, to analyse these as adverbials.
