quickinfo

An Adjective Phrase (AP) may occur within a Noun Phrase (NP) as a modifier of that NP.

APs immediately precede the noun, though they may sometimes be found following the noun:

1
a. In flugge brune foks
a quick brown fox
A quick brown fox
b. In foks, fluch, brún
a fox quick brown
A fox, quick, brown

The contrast makes it clear that preceding adjectives agree with the noun, as is exemplified by the schwa in the first example spelled as -e, whereas following adjectives do not. The number of APs preceding or following the noun is not syntactically limited.
